MESSAGE FROM COORDINATOR

Today’s information transparency has created a far more complex stakeholder environment in which organization, profit and not for profit, must operate. The development of social media has accelerated news cycles that deserves a series attempt to safeguard organization reputation that we never experience before. To anticipate with the challenges, the leaders of organization should equip themselves with dialogue of conflicts. Companies are under pressure of expectation and scrutiny.

Despite the growing expenditure on communication budget, the majority of business still use traditional approach to handle variety of publics. Only those organizations with long term vision, enhancing open organization climate, with global orientation towards creating more strategic communication management can get the maximum trust from the stakeholders and the society at large.

Communicators must have a deep knowledge of management and their organization, the environments and issues affecting the organization they work for. Management practitioners on the other hand, must learn how to work with public relations for strategic advisory position to senior management of an organization. The increasing demand for listening to the publics and bring change to the management is the essence of public relations as a strategic management function, beyond promotion and publicity alone.

MM Communication will be a resourceful management based education for business and communication professionals from any discipline who cater for strategic and managerial perspectives that permits them to sit at the management decision table together with any other senior managers in the organization.
